Applesauce or Pearsauce

  • 12 medium organic apples (or pears)

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 6 tablespoons water (filtered)


Applesauce is comfort food, and making it couldn’t be easier. Fill your house with the aroma of the fall season, and treat your family to a delicious, nutritious and comforting dish of a homemade treat that’s good for snacks, dessert or breakfast.


  • Peel and core apples or pears, slice into thin pieces

  • Place in a saucepan with water, sprinkle with cinnamon

  • Cover and cook over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally

  • Serve warm

  • Store in refrigerator or freeze
