Red Lentil Soup Recipe

Red Lentil Soup


  • 2 Medium onions (chopped)
  • 9oz red lentils
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tablespoon tumeric
  • 5 cups water
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lemon (juice 1/2 lemon)
  • organic extra virgin olive oil (as needed)


Saute onions in a little olive oil.
Add lentils, bay leaf, tumeric and water.
Simmer, covered for 15 minutes until lentils are soft and golden-colored.
Crush garlic and add to soup. Discard bay leaf and puree. Stir in lemon juice. Season to taste.
