There may still be snow on the ground, but it’s not too early to begin planting this year’s garden. You can start lettuces, spinach and arugula in flats inside by a window (remember to keep them moist!) until they’re big enough (and it’s warm enough) to transplant outside. Peas and radishes can be started outside as soon as the danger of frost is gone. Later this spring, don’t forget peppers, squash, tomatoes, beans, onions, basil, carrots, cukes and broccoli. A garden is an endless source of family fun, fantastic nutrition and a source of healing foods! For those without a garden of their own, there are many other sources of organic foods.
